PixelProbe Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Short version: PixelProbe does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser.
What PixelProbe does
PixelProbe is a developer tool Chrome extension that helps you debug and test marketing pixel events (Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, GA4, LinkedIn Insight Tag, Snapchat Pixel, TikTok Pixel) on web pages you visit.
Data we collect
PixelProbe collects no personal data. Specifically:
- We do not collect your browsing history
- We do not collect any personally identifiable information
- We do not transmit any data to external servers
- We do not use analytics or crash reporting services
- We do not store data beyond your current browser session
How the extension works
PixelProbe injects a monitoring script into web pages you visit to intercept marketing pixel events. This data is displayed only within the extension popup and stored temporarily in your browser's local memory. All data is cleared when you close the tab or browser.
Permissions explained
- activeTab — Required to inject the monitoring script into the active tab when you open the extension.
- scripting — Required to execute the pixel-monitoring code on the page to capture marketing events.
- storage — Used only to save your preferences locally in your browser. No data leaves your device.
- <all_urls> host permission — Marketing pixels can be present on any website. The extension must work on any domain you choose to inspect.
Third-party services
PixelProbe does not integrate with any third-party services or send data anywhere outside your browser.
